The Barbican's annual Mostly Mozart season has become a staple of London's cultural calendar, and this year, Artsworld goes behind the scenes to talk to some of the performers and organisers in this special Mozart anniversary year. The festival exists to both celebrate the work of Mozart and a selection of his contemporaries, and - fittingly - to showcase the talents of a new generation of young and gifted performers.

We talk to Young British Performer of the Year; "Britain's most exciting young trumpeter", Alison Balsom (pictured) and former BBC Young Musician of the Year, Emma Johnson, as well as hearing Anna Leese and Andrew Staples in rehearsal. Those interviewed discuss the festival and what Mozart's music means to them, from its themes and universality to how they came to discover it in the first place. A fascinating insight into the lives of these gifted young performers and the festival that allows them to show their talent to the world.
